Tackling violence against women and girls - A workplace issue

Merseyside's Police Commissioner is one of the keynote speakers at this meeting organised by the TUC North West's Women's Committee.
Emily Spurrell will be joined by Neil Evans from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester and Nikki Pound from the TUC to explore the issues around why violence against women and girls is a workplace issue.
The event will also discuss what the unions can do to help eliminate it.
Emily will give an overview of her Domestic Abuse Workplace Champion Scheme and how it is supporting organisations to provide their staff with a safe and secure working environment, creating safe spaces where staff affected by domestic abuse can talk in confidence.
