We're recruiting a for a Chief Executive!
This is an exciting time for policing and community safety in Merseyside. Emily Spurrell was elected as the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) last May and the first female Chief Constable of Merseyside Police, Serena Kennedy, started in post just a month before.
The PCC is now looking for a permanent Chief Executive to be a key member of the team delivering change for our region.
Working to the PCC, this is a great opportunity to lead her office as it delivers her Police and Crime Plan for Merseyside, and bring her vision, strategies, and priorities to life for the benefit of local people.
You will help to maximise the work of her small, committed team in making a positive difference for communities across Merseyside, increasing the profile and visibility of the office while engaging effectively with residents, key partners and stakeholders.
An experienced, strategic thinker, you will be able to develop effective and dynamic working relationships both within the police service and externally with local and central government and the third sector. Applications from those with backgrounds in the commercial, not-for-profit or any other relevant area are also welcomed.
Proven advocacy skills, a solid understanding of politics and an ability to navigate through this complex and ever-changing landscape is vital.
With a track record of delivering success at a senior level, you will bring excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of HR and commissioning and experience of working effectively within a legislative or compliance framework to the Office of the PCC.
