Wishing you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Merseyside / December 24

Dear friends and colleagues,

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

My Christmas e-card for 2019 (below) was designed by 10-year-old Claudia Murphy from Garston Church of England Primary School in Liverpool. I chose Claudia's colourful card as my winner from Merseyside Police's annual Christmas card competition, which this year involved their fantastic Mini Police.

Thank you for your support and interest in the work of my office and for Merseyside Police over the last 12 months.

As you enjoy the Christmas festivities this year, please take a minute to think about the people in our emergency services who are working hard throughout the holiday period to keep us all safe.

I would particularly like to thank all the police officers, PCSOs, staff and volunteers for all their commitment and dedication not only at Christmas but over the last year, working 24/7 to keep us safe.  I am sincerely grateful to every member of staff for their efforts on our behalf.

I hope you and your loved ones have a safe, happy and peaceful festive holidays and I look forward to catching up with you in 2020.

Best wishes,

Rt. Hon Jane Kennedy
Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner
