Sefton's Sigma Team talk Hate Crime

Constable Gerrie McConaghy and Jen Currie Community Engagement Officer for the Commissioner's office, talked to students at Parenting 2000 ESOL class.

As part of the ongoing commitment by the Police and Crime Commissioner and Merseyside Police in tackling Hate Crime, officers talked to students at Parenting 2000 ESOL class. Within the class were students from Lithuania, Hungary, Poland and Portugal. Information was given about recognising a Hate Crime and how to report it, also STOP Hate UK information was given to the group in required languages.

It also gave the group the opportunity to speak to Constable Gerrie McConaghy from the Sigma team, Jen Currie from the Commissioner's Community Engagement team, and PCSO Keith Paterson from the dedicated team at Southport.
