Members of Merseyside Police Commissioner Jane Kennedy’s staff were out in Kirkdale today as part of an antisocial behaviour action group. The Commissioner's staff accompanied local police officers and Councillor Joe Hanson on a walk around the Kirkdale area, off Stanley Road, to identify local issues regarding ASB. Representatives from local housing associations, Enterprise, youth workers and CitySafe also attended the walk around in what Councillor Hanson described as a ‘multi-agency’ approach to tackling genuine, local concerns.

This is the second time the group has met to proactively walk around the Kirkdale area and identify incidences of fly tipping, vandalism, property damage and other types of ASB. Councillor Hanson said, “People are aware of the activities going on and there’s a sense of things being done”.

The group also identified environmental concerns and arranged for refuse to be cleared and improvements to be made to local properties.
