Jane Kennedy, Police Commissioner for Merseyside, responded to Thomas Winsor’s speech on policing in a new dynamic environment, saying,

“Merseyside Police already has a long history of effective partnership working, both in terms of its relationship with other community safety agencies and its collaborative work with other police forces. My focus since taking on the role of Police and Crime Commissioner has been to ensure that individuals and agencies from all sectors come to the table so that we can maximise the opportunities for innovative working, be it through the use of plays like The Terriers, that warn youngsters of the consequences of joining gangs or the coordinated efforts of partners to tackle the increasing problem of cannabis farms across the county. The more coherent and coordinated our approach, the more we will be able to make a difference to the communities we serve.”
