Original Release

Merseyside Police and partners are advising anyone affected by the fire at Liverpool Echo Arena car park to direct their enquiries to the Pullman Hotel, Kings Dock from 2pm onwards, where staff will be able to provide assistance, aided by the British Red Cross.

The temporary Reception Centre at Lifestyles on Park Road has now been closed down.

People are once more reminded to direct any vehicle enquiries to their insurance companies (quoting reference number 650 of December 31) and not to call the emergency services.

Calling 101 or 999 with vehicle related queries will be referred to the owner's insurance company and will not be dealt with by Merseyside Police and MFRS.

Non-emergency queries during this period of high demand may have an impact on our ability to respond to other emergency incidents.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we continue to deal with this incident.
