Jane Kennedy, Police Commissioner for Merseyside, has today sent a formal response to Merseyside’s Police and Crime Panel, addressing concerns laid out in a report produced by the panel on 17th May.

Jane Kennedy said,

“Many of the Panel’s concerns centred around the governance arrangements for Merseyside Police and this information was already available on my website. I have, where possible, done my best to address the other issues identified, including improving the accessibility of certain documents and also clarifying staffing decisions. I will continue to fulfil my statutory duty to ensure that all of my processes are as transparent as possible and I trust that the Panel will work with me to achieve this aim.”
