This regular meeting of the Police and Crime Commissioner's Youth Advisory Group will focus on knife crime.
The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is a diverse mix of young people from a variety of backgrounds from across the county who share their views and concerns on a wide variety of issues.
The group of up to 30 young people meet on an approximately monthly basis to learn about and discuss different issues, and this session will focus on the issue of knife crime. It will include a session from Anfield Boxing Club's Alan Walsh, who has recently been delivering sessions at schools across Liverpool.
Those attending include representatives from the Police Cadets, Positive Futures and Liverpool Schools' Parliament.
Young people who become members of the YAG are asked to commit to a 12-month membership. In return, they receive training to help them in their role, including looking at safeguarding issues, equality and diversity and any relevant policing and community safety issues.
