Merseyside's Police Commissioner is today meeting with the Police and Crime Panel, the body which scrutinises her work.
Jane Kennedy meets six times a year with the Panel. They support the Commissioner in her work, while holding responsibility for overseeing her work and making sure she is holding the Chief Constable to account.
This is the third meeting of the 2020/21 financial year.
On the agenda for discussion are the PCC's Police and Crime Plan priority of maintaining a visibile and accessible neighbourhood policing style, an update on the Medium Term Financial Strategy, and the force's Community First strategy.
Police and Crime Panel meetings are always open to the public. Due to the current government restrictions on meetings in light of the coronavirus pandemic, this meeting will be held virtually.
