Merseyside's Police Commissioner is today meeting with the Police and Crime Panel, the body which scrutinses her work.
Jane Kennedy meets six times a year with the Panel. They support the Commissioner in her work, while holding responsibility for overseeing her work and making sure she is holding the Chief Constable to account.
This is the fourth meeting of the 2018/19 financial year and on the agenda for discussion are the PCC's priority of tackling serious and organised crime. She will also give members an update on the work of the Merseyside Community Safety Partnership, including funding. The meeting will also include a session on the Commissioner's Crime Prevention Fund which gives gives organisations, charities and social enteprises the opportunity to bid for up to £25,000 to help prevent crime and protect their communities.
