Safer Merseyside Partnership meeting

Virtual meeting - CLOSED MEETING
04th September 2020 10:00 - 12:00

Merseyside's Police Commissioner will chair a meeting of the Safer Merseyside Partnership today.

This innovative partnership, previously known as the Merseyside Community Safety Partnership, was formed by the Commissioner to bring all her partners in community safety together.

Chaired by the Commissioner, the group aims to develop and enhance multi-agency approaches to reducing crime and disorder. Through co-operation and consensus, it works to make communities safer, support victims and bring offenders to justice, focusing on three of the Commissioner's policing and crime priorities for Merseyside:

  • Preventing crime and anti-social behaviour;
  • Tackling serious and organised crime;
  • Supporting victims, protecting vulnerable people and maintaining public safety.

The Partnership meets quarterly and provides a forum for members to share information and advice on key police and crime issues. It also gives members an opportunity to discuss new or proposed legislation and help them all to work towards maintaining and improving an efficient and effective criminal justice system.

While this is a private meeting for invited members only, the minutes from these meetings are published on this website.

See the minutes and find out more about the good work of the Safer Merseyside Partnership.
