Deputy PCC to unite with colleagues

Merseyside's Deputy Commissioner will meet with PCC colleagues from around the country in London today.

Cllr Emily Spurrell is attending a General Meeting of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioner's (APCC), the national body which represents Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs).

Meetings of the APCC are held bi-monthly and this event will including an update from the Chair, PCC David Lloyd and the lead of the police ICT company, PCC Katy Bourne .

The Commissioners will also hear from the new Chief Exeuctive Office at the College of Policing, Mike Cunningham QPM.  The former Chief Constable of Staffordshire Police was appointed last November, following a spell at HMICFRS, and started work in February.
