Merseyside's Police Commissioner will meet with PCC colleagues from around the country in London today.

Jane Kennedy is attending a General Meeting of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioner's (APCC), the national body which represents Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs).

Meetings of the APCC are held bi-monthly and this event will including sessions on workforce transformation led by County Durham and Darlington PCC Ron Hogg and Hertfordshire PCC David Lloyd.

It will also include a session on critical incident management, examining how PCCs can come together urgently to address a national policing situation.

The Commissioners will also hear from the Home Office's Head of Tackling Crime, Nick Hunt, who will assess the current trends in serious violence along with the risk and protective factors.
