PCCs unite with colleagues

College of Policing, Ryton
18th October 2018 10:00 - 17:00

Merseyside's Police Commissioner and her Deputy will meet with PCC colleagues from around the country today.

Jane Kennedy and Cllr Emily Spurrell are attending the General Meeting of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioner's (APCC), the national body which represents Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs).

The meeting is being held at the College of Policing in Ryton and follows on from a number of events held there yesterday, including a 'deep dive' session on the College's priorities and a meeting of the Modern Slavery Network.

The meeting will include a session on police budget and the upcoming Autumn Statement which will detail how much funding police forces will receive over the next financial year. The PCCs will also hear from Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Service (HMICFRS) Chief Inspector Sir Tom Winsor.

A session will also be held to update PCCs on the NHS England sexual assault and abuse strategy, followed by updates from each of the APCC portfolios.
