Merseyside's Police Commissioner and her Deputy will meet with PCC colleagues from around the country today.
Jane Kennedy and Cllr Emily Spurrell are attending the General Meeting of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioner's (APCC), the national body which represents Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs).
The meeting is being held at the National Crime Agency Conference Centre and follows on from a number of events held there yesterday, including a 'deep dive' session on working with health partners to prevent Adverse Child Experiences.
The general meeting will include a presentation from the Minister of State for Policing and Fire Service, Nick Hurd MP, and an update on Government's Victims' Strategy from Victims' Minister Edward Argar MP. It will also include a discussion on the revised code of practice for victims of crime and a briefing on work by the Ministry of Justice on the design of future probation services.
A session will also be held to enable PCCs to feed back their thoughts and views on the function of the Police Reform and Transformation Board.
