Merseyside's Police Commissioner will join more than 250 colleagues from the policing world for the Serious and Organised Crime Exchange 2016.
Jane Kennedy is among the invited guests for SOCEX2016 which gathers today senior members of the police forces in the UK, Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Trading Standards and other regulatory and enforcement authorities to examine the changing nature of serious crime.
The two-day conference will also look at the impact of cybercrime on investigations and the detection of child exploitation.
Among the guest speakers at this year's event are the Home Secretary Theresa May who will outline the government's approach to serious and organised crime. There will also be speeches from representatives from the National Crime Agency, the College of Policing, the FBI, Europol and the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Several Chief Constables, including Merseyside Police's top officer Sir Jon Murphy, will be among those contributing to the discussion.
